Our body-mind-spirit systems are best served by balancing our needs for adventure, self-exploration, and rest. At Bhavana Retreats we strive to create this balance during our retreat adventures. We’ll spend time enjoying the beauty and magic that a particular place in the world has to offer, immersing ourselves fully. We’ll also spend time on inner practices like meditation and yoga, as well as plenty of time for rest and integration.

It’s crucial to set apart time for yourself, allowing for your own renewal, rejuvenation, and refreshment. At Bhavana, it’s our deep desire to serve you by creating retreat adventures that nourish you on all levels.

You don’t have to worry about planning anything. This is your time simply to receive.

Exploration

We feel vibrant and alive when we engage with the world. Bhavana Retreats include adventures in our beautiful locations – while feeling entirely safe and cared for, so you can truly open yourself to the experience. The practice of yoga and meditation will give you an opportunity for inner exploration and self discoveries.

Renewal

Too often, the world keeps us so busy that we don’t take the time to truly get to know ourselves. Bhavana Retreats include a variety of life-affirming meditation and yoga practices, giving you a chance to explore different ways of getting in touch with yourself and integrating your new experiences.

Connection

Every experience is shaped by those you share it with. During a retreat, you’ll connect with others who are also open-hearted explorers and lovers of life. We put intention into nurturing these connections, and many people develop long-lasting friendships during Bhavana Retreats.

WHAT DO WE MEAN BY "INNER PRACTICES"?

Meditation

We have both spent many years training in a system of meditation that encourages individual expression and vibrant aliveness. We’ll offer a variety of different techniques, some of which may look very different from what you think of as “meditation.” This is an opportunity to discover new ways of exploring your inner world, which you can continue to benefit from long after the retreat is over.

Yoga

We firmly believe that yoga is for every body. The goal of our yoga asana classes is to help each person’s body to feel strong, open, and healthy – not to force it into particular shapes. We’re highly experienced in adapting yoga to work with all bodies, regardless of age, injuries, or condition. Even if you’ve never set foot in a yoga class before, you’ll feel right at home during a Bhavana Retreat.

Self-Awareness

Life has a way of bringing us new challenges and experiences on a regular basis. During a Bhavana Retreat, people often feel safe enough to bring up these challenges and talk about them. This allows each person to feel seen and held, and to receive any perspectives or wisdom that others wish to share. You will never be asked to share beyond your comfort level, but you can choose to share as you wish.

Our Current Offerings

Our next retreat will be this coming winter at the magical Lake Atitlan in Guatemala.

This retreat is currently full, but please feel free to get in touch with us if you’d like to join the waiting list!

Our next international retreat will be in spring of 2027 on the beautiful island of Madeira in Portugal. More details will be coming soon.
